Andrew McKenna
Andrew McKenna is the founder and CEO of McKenna & Associates. Mr. McKenna oversees the operations and strategic management of the firm which focuses on investing the firm’s capital into a variety of specialized sectors including healthcare, energy and minerals, telecom, film, real estate, and technology.

McKenna and the firm also provide strategic counsel, advisory, consulting and research services to companies, individuals, and nonprofits through its employees and a dedicated network of advisors and partners.

Previously, Mr. McKenna was the managing member and a founding partner of GoodSijn Management, L.L.C. and GoodSijn I, a private investment fund. Mr. McKenna helped lead GoodSijn Management, L.L.C., GoodSijn I and their affiliates through the inception, launch, and management processes of the fund. Mr. McKenna provided operations services, managed investor relations and was instrumental in the strategic execution of the fund.

Mr. McKenna was active in the federal issues debate organizing and building effective media and nonprofit groups that made a big impact on the 2004 election cycle. Prior to that, Mr. McKenna worked in George W. Bush’s administration inside the White House Liaison’s office at the United States Department of Agriculture. Mr. McKenna was also a part of the Bush Campaign in various roles during the successful 2000 campaign for the White House.

An avid pilot, Mr. McKenna maintains his instrument, commercial and multi-engine ratings along with his Level I surface waiver for formation and solo aerobatics in his P-51 Mustang and North American T-6 Texan. He currently sits on the board of the Youth for Tomorrow Foundation, a youth home in Bristow, Virginia, and most recently, Mr. McKenna joined Board of Directors of the Tewaaraton Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to recognizing excellence in the sport of lacrosse by annually honoring the most outstanding men’s and women’s college players and legends of the game. Mr. McKenna previously served on several boards including the Board of Trustees of his alma mater, the University of Lynchburg, the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), Ford’s Theatre and the Chance for Life Foundation, a nonprofit devoted to fundraising for pediatric cancer research.

Mr. McKenna graduated with a degree in Political Science from University of Lynchburg (formerly Lynchburg College) where he played lacrosse and served as the University’s Honor Board Chairman. Since graduating in 1999, Mr. McKenna has been a long-time supporter of the men’s lacrosse program and was instrumental in helping build and operationalize the men’s lacrosse endowment.
